Management Team

Tod Turley Chairman and CEO

 Mr. Turley is a principal architect of Amerivon and is largely responsible for bringing together Amerivon’s unique combination of retail distribution, consulting, and capital. As one of Amerivon’s founders in 2001, Mr. Turley originally served as Senior Vice President, Business Development.

Prior to Amerivon, Mr. Turley served for 13 years as an investment banker, corporate attorney and executive for emerging growth companies. He currently serves as a Director on a number of Boards, including Wireless Advocates, Sequoia Media Group and Smart Pack Solutions.

John Tyson President, Amerivon Investments

 Mr. Tyson joined Amerivon in 2005 and is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing direct equity investments for Amerivon.

Prior to Amerivon, John Tyson was Chairman & CEO of Compression Labs, Inc. (CLI), a NASDAQ company and a world leader in the development of Video Communications Systems. After retiring from CLI in 1996, Mr. Tyson founded etNetworks, a high technology training company that delivered IT training to IBM, Cisco, and over 1,000 customers worldwide via satellite directly to the desktop. Additionally, John has held executive management positions with AT&T, General Electric, and General Telephone & Electronics.

He currently serves as a Director on a number of Boards, including MicroBlend Technologies, Sequoia Media Group, Retail Inkjet Solutions, Sierra Angels and AirTegrity.

Kevin Hamilton President, Amerivon Retail Sales

 Mr. Hamilton is responsible for overseeing client development in growth creation and retail distribution. As one of the company founders, Mr. Hamilton originally served as Amerivon's President before taking a sabbatical as president of a non-profit organization for three years in Europe from June 2003 to June 2006.

Prior to Amerivon, Mr. Hamilton was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prime Matrix Wireless Communications, a wireless and long distance service provider. Under his leadership for 13 years, Prime Matrix grew to be the largest independent wireless service provider in the U.S. before being sold to a private equity group. He currently serves as a Director of Retail Inkjet Solutions.

Jeff Pirtle Chief Financial Officer

 Mr. Pirtle is responsible for the financial operation of Amerivon, as well as administrative functions. Prior to joining Amerivon in 2007, from 2003 to 2007, Mr. Pirtle was the Chief Financial Officer for Vitek Mortgage Group, a mortgage company with 21 offices in Sacramento and Northern California. From 1996 to 2002, he served in a number of different positions with Intel Corporation, ultimately as the Controller of the Optical Products Group where, among other accomplishments, he assisted in the acquisition of six companies with a combined purchase price of $2.5 billion.

Robert “Spike” Anderson Amerivon Founder

Mr. Anderson is a Founder of Amerivon and brings extensive experience in retail and wholesale club distribution. Mr. Anderson currently serves as the President, CEO, and major stockholder of Anderson Daymon Worldwide, a specialized sales and marketing organization serving Costco exclusively since 1983. Employing nearly 180 full-time Costco specialists in 11 offices worldwide located in or adjacent to Costco’s corporate and regional offices, Anderson Daymon Worldwide reflects the experience and expertise required to build profitable supplier relationships with Costco.

Mr. Anderson serves as a Director on the Boards of Wireless Advocates and MicroBlend Technologies.

W.G. “Bill” Apgood Amerivon Founder

Mr. Apgood is a co-founder of Amerivon. He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Advanced Marketing International, Inc., which he formed in 1972. Contributing to Amerivon’s deep relationships and key headquarter contacts at major retailers, Advanced Marketing International’s expertise ensures Amerivon’s portfolio of client companies leverage significant growth opportunities within major retail channels.

Mr. Apgood began his career in management and sales in 1967 when he joined Olympia AEG of Germany as District Sales Manager and quickly rose to the position of Vice President – Retail Dealer Sales. After serving for 10 years with Olympia AEG in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and Salt Lake, Bill founded Advanced Marketing International, Inc.

Carl Kleidman Manager

Mr. Kleidman recently joined the Amerivon Board of Managers in 2008 and is presently a principal at Vision Capital Partners, a $700 million private equity fund. Previously, he was a Managing Director of Centrecourt Asset Management, a $350 million hedge fund. With an extensive background in corporate finance and the law, Mr. Kleidman was a Partner at Shea & Gould, Senior Vice President at Barington Capital Group, Managing Director at Commonwealth Associates, and Partner at ComVest Investment Partners.
