Management Team

Jeff Pirtle Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Pirtle joined Amerivon in 2007 and is the company's Chief Executive Officer. Jeff joined as the Chief Financial Officer and in 2015 was named CEO, succeeding John Tyson. Prior to Amerivon, Jeff was the Chief Financial Officer for Vitek Group, a consumer lending company in California and Washington.  From 1996 to 2002, he served in a number of different positions with Intel Corporation, ultimately as the Controller of the Optical Products Group where he assisted in the acquisitions of six companies with a combined purchase price of $2.5 billion.

Jeff received his MBA from Boston University, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Jeff serves as a Director of Wireless Advocates, MicroBlend, and Amerivon Holdings.  

 

 

David Cromb Vice President - Investments

David Cromb joined Amerivon in 2008 and is Vice President, Investments.  Mr. Cromb focuses on working to build our portfolio companies, and on finding and evaluating new consumer product opportunities.  Prior to joining Amerivon, Mr. Cromb was a Principal with Tremont Associates, a Boston area private equity firm.  Earlier, he worked with an investment banking boutique in Toronto, where he raised capital for growth companies and advised on strategic matters.  Mr. Cromb began his career in Prague, arranging financing for Czech-American ventures.  

Mr. Cromb holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. He serves as a Director of Retail Inkjet Solutions and ARES.


Todd German Vice President - Finance

Over his nearly 25 years experience, Todd has worked in the software, computer and capital equipment repair, semiconductor, telecommunication and consumer product industries globally. Prior to joining Amerivon in 2015, Todd spent over fifteen years as VP of Finance with two manufacturing companies, Data Exchange Corp. and Semtach Corp., both headquartered in Southern California. He has extensive cost management, profitability, business modeling, strategic growth and M&A experience, including the acquisition of five companies over his career.

Todd is marred with a young daughter living in Westlake Village, CA. Over the past 12 years Todd has competed in bike races, adventure races, marathons and triathalons, including three Ironman races.

Robert “Spike” Anderson Amerivon Founder

Mr. Anderson is a Founder of Amerivon and brings extensive experience in retail and wholesale club distribution. Mr. Anderson currently serves as the President, CEO, and major stockholder of Anderson Daymon Worldwide, a specialized sales and marketing organization serving Costco exclusively since 1983. Employing nearly 180 full-time Costco specialists in 11 offices worldwide located in or adjacent to Costco’s corporate and regional offices, Anderson Daymon Worldwide reflects the experience and expertise required to build profitable supplier relationships with Costco.

Mr. Anderson serves as a Director on the Boards of Wireless Advocates and MicroBlend Technologies.

W.G. “Bill” Apgood Amerivon Founder

Mr. Apgood is a co-founder of Amerivon. He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Advanced Marketing International, Inc., which he formed in 1972. Contributing to Amerivon’s deep relationships and key headquarter contacts at major retailers, Advanced Marketing International’s expertise ensures Amerivon’s portfolio of client companies leverage significant growth opportunities within major retail channels.

Mr. Apgood began his career in management and sales in 1967 when he joined Olympia AEG of Germany as District Sales Manager and quickly rose to the position of Vice President – Retail Dealer Sales. After serving for 10 years with Olympia AEG in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and Salt Lake, Bill founded Advanced Marketing International, Inc.
